At Ohio State Newark, we offer the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in education, course work toward additional undergraduate education preparations, and two full masters degrees: the Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning (M.A.) for certified or licensed K-12 teachers and the Master of Education (M.Ed.), our licensure program.
Graduate students are able to take graduate level coursework at Ohio State University without being enrolled in a graduate program. Courses may later be transferred into the M.A. program if so desired, although only 10 quarter hours may be transferred. In any case, educators who wish to 1) participate in credited reading groups in their schools, 2) take particular courses at Ohio State Newark, or 3) enroll in a course that might be offered on-site at their school or in their district, may do so. For information, contact Marilyn Barber or Karen Prost in the Ohio State Newark Advising Office.
