Ballad of a Cancer Cell
Bryan Wolfe

I am the cell,
That invades your tissue.
When I begin to divide,
I become an issue.

If you are not checked,
I WILL succeed!
Just know now,
There is little time that I need.

Your immune system has fought,
But I evaded destruction.
Now your body,
Is my abduction.

You feel me now,
As the tumors grow.
I am malignant,
Through your body I go.

You try the radiation,
And you try the Chemo.
They usually work,
Too late for me though.

Out of options,
No last remedy.
If only you would have been checked,
It would have been the end of me.
