The Ohio State University at Newark

Pelotonia. It's not a ride, it's a journey.

Founded in Columbus, Ohio in 2008, Pelotonia started a grassroots bike tour with the objective to fund life-saving cancer research, but has become so much more...an organization that strives to inspire meaningful collective action. It's not just a ride. It's a movement.

Pelotonia is a three-day experience that includes a weekend of cycling, entertainment and volunteerism. Thanks to its generous funding partners, Huntington Bank, L Brands Foundation, Peggy and Richard Santulli, American Electric Power Foundation, Nationwide Insurance, Cardinal Health Foundation, Harold C. Schott Foundation, Pelotonia is able to direct 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar to cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.

"Team Buckeye-Rolling for a Cure" needs your support for our ride in the 2018 Pelotonia August 3, 4 & 5! This is the 10th anniversary of Pelotonia!

One goal - end cancer. Join Ohio State Newark's Peloton: Team Buckeye - Rolling for a Cure.

We ride for people we know who have been affected by cancer. We ride for the incredible doctors and researchers who work every day to end cancer. We ride because teamwork and effort is what being a Buckeye is all about. Ask anyone who had been a part of Pelotonia and Team Buckeye. Pelotonia is a profoundly inspiring experience. Experience for yourself the pride and connection that comes from being apart of Team Buckeye as a rider, virtual rider or volunteer.

What is Pelotonia? What is Team Buckeye?

Pelotonia is a grassroots bike tour with one goal: to end cancer.

In its seventh year, Pelotonia has raised more than $82 million to date for innovative and life saving cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute and Pelotonia proudly directs 100% of every dollar raised to research. Driven by the passion of its riders and volunteers, their families and friends, Pelotonia's annual cycling experience will be a place of hope, energy and determination. It is a community of people coming together to chase down cancer and defeat it.

For the fifth consecutive year, Ohio State will have an official super Peloton, Team Buckeye, with Ohio State's own Archie Griffin leading the charge! Team Buckeye will be the umbrella Peloton for all Pelotons and riders associated with Ohio State — faculty, staff, students, alumni and Buckeye fans! Our Peloton, Rolling for a Cure, is a part of Team Buckeye, and will include Ohio State faculty, staff, students, and friends and family members.
