Love Letters Set to Open at The Black Box Theater
NEWARK, Ohio, February 1, 2018 —Just in time for Valentine’s Day local favorites Edie L. Norlin and Dennis Kohler are scheduled to star in the play Love Letters by playwright A.R. Gurney. Performances will run for one week only at the Black Box Theater on the shared campus of The Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College.
The two-character play follows the story of a 50-year correspondence between free-spirited Melissa Gardner and her childhood-friend-turned-love-interest,
Andrew Makepeace Ladd III, both born to wealth and position. From childhood to death, they discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats – that have passed between them throughout their separated lives.
Performances run from Wednesday through Friday, February 14-16. The curtain opens at 8:00 p.m. at The Black Box Theater in LeFevre Hall located at 1199
University Drive, Newark, OH 43055. General admission is $10, student tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the door.
