Marketing and Public Relations Office Wins National Advertising Awards

NEWARK, OH, March 17, 2017 — The Ohio State University at Newark Marketing and Public Relations Office won three awards in the 32nd Annual Education Advertising Awards. The national competition recognizes the field of educational marketing and advertising.

Ohio State Newark took merit awards in the Annual Report and Direct Mail categories for its progress report and prospect postcard series and earned bronze in the Poster category. Senior Graphic Designer Leslie Lenzo was involved in all three projects.

“It’s an honor to be recognized for the work that you do,” said Lenzo. “Our department is committed to producing high quality work. We are very proud.”

The theme for the 2017 progress report was diversity and inclusion on the Newark campus. Marketing and Public Relations Assistant Director René White wrote and edited the report, with assistance from Director of Marketing and Public Relations Cheri Russo.

The Educational Advertising Awards, sponsored by the Higher Education Marketing Report, is the largest, oldest and most respected educational advertising awards competition in the country. A national panel of industry specialists reviewed each piece; judging creativity, marketing execution and message impact.
