National Roll Call Honors Service Members

NEWARK, Ohio, October 31, 2017 — For the seventh year in a row, Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) and The Ohio State University at Newark will participate in the Remembrance Day National Roll Call from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9 at the Martha Grace Reese Amphitheatre on the shared campus of COTC and Ohio State Newark. Volunteers from both institutions will participate in a reading of the names of fallen soldiers. A moment of silence will be held at 2 p.m.

Members of the community are invited to attend this free event and may assist in the reading of names. Those wishing to assist with the reading should include available times in the email.

The Remembrance Day National Roll Call is sponsored nationally by the Veterans Knowledge Community (VKC) of NASPA - Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education. NASPA is a 15,000-member association for the advancement, health and sustainability of the student affairs profession. The VKC is the national leader in supporting the generation and dissemination of knowledge in support of the college success of student veterans.

There are approximately 225 and 65 enrolled veteran and active military personnel at COTC and Ohio State Newark, respectively.
