Newark Campus Vocal Ensemble Presents Spring Concert

April 11, 2017 - Newark, OH — The Vocal Ensemble at The Ohio State University at Newark will present a spring concert on Friday, April 21, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. in Founders Hall Auditorium on the shared campus of Ohio State Newark and Central Ohio Technical College (COTC). Admission is free and open to the public.

Selections will range from early English rounds and motets by German composer, Georg Philipp Telemann to contemporary selections by English and American composers, including a medley from the musical West Side Story. Guest cellist, Emily Johnson will join the ensemble for the Telemann selections. Vocal soloists for the performance are Heather Bush, Carley Eggleton, Jacob Schlagel, Logan Snedegar, David Gentil, Madisyn Callahan, Noah Silverman and Mitchell Baughman.

The Vocal Ensemble is directed by Paul D. Sanders, Professor of Music Education at Ohio State Newark, with piano accompaniment by Jackie Dawson. Membership in the Vocal Ensemble is open to students, staff and faculty at Ohio State Newark and COTC as well as members of the community.
