Master of Arts in Integrated Teaching and Learning

The Master of Arts in Integrated Teaching and Learning affords teaching professionals the opportunity to pursue a deeper understanding of teaching and learning in K-12 settings. The M.A. is an individualized program designed to meet the diverse needs of our students and is offered in its entirety at Ohio State Newark. The program is flexible in its design, allowing the professional to focus on his or her needs and interests. Professionals may choose one focus or several, including but not limited to curricular content areas, child development, equity and diversity, serving special needs populations, or integration of content.

Professionals are assigned a faculty advisor upon admission, who provides guidance on selecting a focus, choosing the courses to support that focus, and completing the required masters project.

See our MA focus options (PDF) for examples of options in the MA program
