LeFevre Fellows

The LeFevre Fellowship is awarded to students who are interested in engaging in community service.
$1,250
fellowship per semester
20
hours community service

Accepted students take a one-credit course in the fall and a three-credit course in the spring. They discuss service-learning best practices, learn about the needs of the Newark community, and participate in service-learning activities in Licking County. Fellowship students contribute 20 hours of service to the community each semester and receive a $1,250 fellowship each semester.

In previous years, fellows have worked with the Licking County Coalition of Housing to help the homeless, assisted faculty in leading science programs for middle school students, educated the campus community about recycling and sustainability, planned and planted a native species garden to attract native pollinators, and acted as literacy support for elementary school students.
