Dr. Don Langford earned his Ph.D. in 20th-Century American Literature at Ohio State University. His dissertation, The Primacy of Place in Gary Snyder's Ecological Vision, examined the connections of Buddhism and environment in Gary Snyder's poetry. Environmental concerns are central to many of Dr. Langford's courses.
In addition to teaching courses on literature and writing, Dr. Langford has published poems in The Lowell Review, Rhino, The Cornfield Review, Kaleidoscope, petroglyph, Planet Pop, and other publications. His poem, "Vivid Dreams, Antarctica," was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2005. A recipient of the Academy of American Poets Award at Oregon State University, he is currently completing a book of poems, In the Light of the Full Moon.
