The mission of the Office of Access and Engagement is to establish meaningful partnerships and opportunities between faculty, staff, students and the people within our local community. We focus primarily on educational access, developing students as civically engaged leaders and service scholars, and supporting the community through campus awareness and collaboration. These partnerships foster greater integration of university and community resources, leading to enhanced efficiency and impact.
Ohio State is dedicated to extending teaching, learning and research beyond our campuses by engaging communities - elevating the quality of life for the people of Ohio and beyond.
Access is ensuring that all students regardless of resources or financial status have the opportunity to pursue post secondary education and training. The four pillars of our work are: availability, affordability, academic preparation and aspiration. We motivate individuals of all ages to strive towards education beyond high school and to prepare themselves academically for college. We assist students and their families in understanding how to make college affordable.
