Nominate Your Favorite Professor for the Teaching Excellence Award -2018

NEWARK, Ohio, Feb. 9, 2018 — Students at The Ohio State University at Newark are being asked to nominate their favorite professor for the Teaching Excellence Award. The award is presented annually to each of the following: one full-time lecturer/visiting assistant professor, one tenure-track faculty member and one tenured faculty member “to recognize individuals doing excellent teaching and to stimulate excellence in teaching.”

Recipients are selected by a committee of previous winners, faculty appointed to the Professional Standards Committee and, if possible, students appointed by the Student Senate Committee. Ohio State Newark students, faculty, administrators and alumni may make nominations; nominations must be signed and supporting reasons provided. Self-nominations are not permitted.

Nominations need to be submitted by Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, to Feride Tiglay, subcommittee chair, at her office (Reese 232), to Dr. Tiglay’s mailbox in the Services Center (Founders 156), or scanned and emailed to
