Deadlines

Online application for admission:

  • Spring semester: Dec. 1
  • Autumn semester: July 14

After these dates, students may still apply for admission; however, students need to call the Admissions Office at 740.366.9344 to get the passcodes to add to their online late application or to schedule a one-on-one appointment with an admissions counselor on the Ohio State Newark campus.

FAFSA Priority Deadline: March 15

Special interest scholarship applications: March 15

Information for counselors

1 ACT/SAT scores

Please keep in mind that standardized test scores are not required for admission to Ohio State Newark; however, they are required for scholarship consideration. Test scores should be sent from the testing agency to the Undergraduate Admissions Office in Columbus.

2 High school transcripts

Official high school transcripts should be sent to the Ohio State Undergraduate Admissions Office in Columbus and the preference is to send transcripts electronically to esue-studugt@osu.edu. The Ohio State Newark campus cannot accept any transcripts.

3 After your student is accepted

It is important that students are reminded to activate their Buckeye email account. After acceptance, the University uses the Ohio State email account to communicate with students and Financial Aid will only respond to students via their Buckeye email account. Information regarding orientation, placement testing and much more is sent to this account. See "admitted students" above for more information.

College Credit Plus

The Academy is College Credit Plus at Ohio State Newark. High school students can enroll in college classes at no cost to students and families.
