July 3rd Concert & Fireworks
The annual Independence Day Concert and Fireworks display is held on
July 3, on the campus of The Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College.
The event is free and open to all.
Approximately 10,000 Licking County children and families attend this fun, free, family friendly event annually. The evening’s celebration begins with popular local musical groups with all performances held at the Martha Grace Reese Amphitheater. The crowd-favorite fireworks display begins at dusk to the accompaniment of patriotic, favorite, musical selections.
A number of local vendors will be serving food and beverages. The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnics and blankets for a fun-filled evening of music and entertainment. Free parking is available at the campus.
The annual Independence Day Concert and Fireworks is funded by the Reese Family Foundation, The Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College.

Applications for vendors will be available in March. Vendors will be limited to food, nonprofit education organizations and other services that enhance the family-friendly nature of the event (e.g., face painting) at the discretion of the Independence Day Committee. Other for-profit vendors will not be accepted.
INDEPENDENCE DAY ALUMNI CELEBRATION
The Annual Independence Day Alumni Celebration held simultaneously with the public fireworks event takes place in the John Gilbert Reese Center and seating area around the building is reserved for COTC and Ohio State Alumni and their guests. This year's event is Tuesday, July 3, 2018.
Tickets for COTC and Ohio State Alumni and their guests
$7 admissions per person through May 31
$10 admission per person beginning June 1
Reserved parking is limited to the first 100 alumni who purchase tickets by June 22.
Bring lawn chairs and blankets for special reserved seating to watch the fireworks.
Fireworks begin at dusk.
