Area public transportation services

Transportation can be a significant factor in your college success. If getting to and from campus is a concern, the following resources may be helpful.

GoBus 

GoBus offers affordable and convenient transportation to and from locations across Ohio, with schedules that align well with campus class times. One-way tickets typically start around $5 when purchased in advance. 

Routes, schedules and pricing are available online. 

  • Yellow Line (eastbound): Departs Columbus at 9:05 a.m. and 9:25 a.m. Arrives in Newark at 10:09 a.m. 
  • Yellow Line (westbound): Departs Newark at 5:57 p.m. Arrives in Columbus at 6:41 p.m. and 6:56 p.m. 
  • Pink Line: Departs Columbus at 11:05 a.m. and 11:20 a.m. Arrives in Newark at 11:35 a.m. 

Columbus pickup locations include:

  • 306 E. Mound Street 
  • John Glenn Columbus International Airport 

Licking County Transit 

Students living within Licking County may utilize Licking County Transit services. Available options include: 

  • Fixed bus routes throughout the county, with a free route that travels directly to Ohio State Newark 
  • Demand-response transportation services that can be scheduled in advance anywhere within Licking County, including Pataskala

Rides are typically available for approximately $4 per trip.
