The Office of Financial Aid at The Ohio State University at Newark is here to assist students and families through the financial aid process. In most cases, the student will be eligible for some type of federal financial aid regardless of income. Only admitted students are considered for federal, state and institutional financial aid including scholarships. Our staff looks forward to assisting you in financing your education. Financial Aid Priority Deadlines:

FAFSA – February 1st of each year (The FAFSA should be submitted at least 8 weeks before the semester start.) The Ohio State University Title IV School Code: 003090

Special Scholarships: The university offers hundreds of scholarships with a wide variety of eligibility criteria. To apply each year, file the FAFSA and complete the ScholarshipUniverse application by the priority date of
February 1.

Hours and Location

The Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) are following Governor Mike DeWine’s recommendations to take immediate action to minimize the risk of exposure and slow the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in our communities. These decisions will remain in effect indefinitely and be reevaluated on an ongoing basis based upon recommendations from health and government officials regarding the health and safety of our communities.

Ohio State Newark and Central Ohio Technical College’s four campus locations (Newark, Coshocton, Knox and Pataskala) will implement modified campus operations beginning Monday, March 23, and continue indefinitely. Both institutions will remain open for business remotely – all campus buildings will be closed to the public and no in-person services will be available. Financial Aid staff will be available by email at or and by phone at 740-366-9435 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays.
