July 3rd Concert & Fireworks
The annual Independence Day Concert and Fireworks display is held on
July 3, on the campus of The Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College.
The event is free and open to all.
Approximately 25,000 Licking County children and families attend this fun, free, family friendly event annually. The evening’s celebration begins with popular local musical groups with all performances held at the Martha Grace Reese Amphitheater. The crowd-favorite fireworks display begins at dusk to the accompaniment of patriotic, favorite, musical selections.
A number of local vendors will be serving food and beverages. The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnics and blankets for a fun-filled evening of music and entertainment. Free parking is available at the campus.
The annual Independence Day Concert and Fireworks is funded by the Reese Family Foundation, The Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College.

Vendors of food and other family-friendly services or products that are interested taking part in the Independence Day concert and fireworks can apply online now through May 4.

INDEPENDENCE DAY ALUMNI CELEBRATION
Enjoy food and festivities!
The Annual Independence Day Alumni Celebration held simultaneously with the public fireworks event takes place in the John Gilbert Reese Center and seating area around the building (inside and outside) is reserved for COTC and Ohio State Alumni and their guests. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to use outside.
Fireworks begin at dusk.
$7 admission per person through May 31
$10 admission per person beginning June 1
The last day to purchase tickets is Monday, June 22
No rain date or ticket refund. To purchase tickets: please check back closer to the date to purchase tickets.
Reserved parking is limited to the first 100 alumni who purchase tickets.
