Concert and Fireworks Return to Newark Campus
Licking County 4-H Band Added to Lineup
Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) and The Ohio State University at Newark are excited to welcome the community back to the shared Newark campus for the Independence Day concert and fireworks on Sunday, July 3. Admission and parking are both free. The J. Gilbert Reese Family Foundation, COTC and Ohio State Newark proudly sponsor this event.
Entertainment is provided by local musicians in the Martha Grace Reese Amphitheater located in the center of campus. The fireworks will begin at dusk behind the John L. and Christine Warner Library and Student Center. The schedule of performances is:
5:45 p.m.: Licking County 4-H Band (new addition for 2022)
6:30 p.m.: Sticks & Stones
8 p.m.: Heisey Wind Ensemble
10 p.m.: Fireworks
10:30 p.m. Sticks & Stones encore
Many vendors will be on-site selling food, snacks and desserts. Guests may bring their own food, chairs and blankets to enjoy the evening’s festivities. Please leave alcohol, tobacco products, grills, drones, pets and fireworks at home.
The COTC and Ohio State Newark campus is located at 1179 University Drive. Guests may want to review the public safety plan for road closures and traffic pattern changes happening at the conclusion of the event. More details are available on our website and Facebook page.
