Ohio State Newark, along with our co-located partner, Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) will host a Counselor Day for high school counselors on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. The day will consist of the following:
- Campus updates from both Ohio State Newark and COTC
- Financial Aid updates
- Academic initiatives from both schools
- Keynote speaker from the Ohio Department of Higher Education
- Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided
- Optional tours of campus
- CEU credits will be available

We will host one open house for Admitted Students on Friday, April 19, 2019.
Online Application Deadlines:
Spring semester 2019: December 1, 2018
Summer semester 2019: March 1, 2019
Autumn semester 2019: June 1, 2019
After these dates, students may still apply for admission; however, application must be completed in person by scheduling a one-on-one appointment with an admissions counselor on the Ohio State Newark campus.
FAFSA Priority Deadline: February 1, 2019
Our special interest scholarship applications will be due March 1, 2019
More Information for Counselors
ACT/SAT Scores: Please keep in mind that standardized test scores are not required for admission to Ohio State Newark; however, they are required for scholarship consideration. Test scores should be sent from the testing agency to the Undergraduate Admissions Office in Columbus.
High School Transcripts: Official high school transcripts should be sent to the Undergraduate Admissions Office in Columbus. Ohio State Newark can not accept and prefers to receive a student’s transcript electronically.
After Your Student is Accepted: It is important that students are reminded to activate their Buckeye email account. After acceptance, the University uses the Ohio State email account to communicate with students and Financial Aid will only respond to students via their Buckeye email account. Information regarding orientation, placement testing and much more is sent to this account.

Visits to Campus
Ohio State Newark welcomes schools to bring groups of students to visit our campus. If you are interested in such a visit, please review the Group Visit Form found at go.osu.edu/GroupVisit.
Before submitting a request, we encourage school personnel to review our Group Tour Policy
