​Using the guidance of public health experts about coronavirus (COVID-19), The Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College are taking a proactive approach to protect the health and well-being of the campus and community. We have reevaluated previously scheduled, non-essential campus events out of an abundance of caution. Based on that review, we have cancelled the One Book, One Community Author Discussion and Book Signing scheduled for April 13th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

COTC and Ohio State Newark Look to Increase Donations to Operation Feed

From February 24 through March 6, food donations can be dropped in boxes located in each building on campus. Cash donations should be directed to Fees and Deposits in Hopewell Hall located at 1189 University Drive, Newark, Ohio.

The Ohio State University at Newark has released its dean’s list for autumn semester 2019. To qualify, students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours and achieve a 3.5 GPA. *Only students who have granted Ohio State Newark permission to release their names to the public are listed.

Ohio State Newark Invites Youth to Participate in National Girls and Women in Sports Day

​The Ohio State University at Newark is bringing the 34th Annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) to Newark on Sunday, March 1. From noon to 5 p.m., girls ages 8–18 years old will be “Creating a Champion’s Mindset” through educational and fitness activities with local experts.

Ashley Moore, a psychology major at Ohio State Newark from Pataskala, whose passion for community service echoes that of Reese, became the inaugural winner of the award for her exceptional campus leadership and passionate community involvement.

Daddy Long Legs Set to Open at Black Box Theater

Set in turn-of-the-century New England, the musical tells the story of orphan Jerusha Abbott of the John Grier Home and her mysterious benefactor who agrees to send her to college, who she dubs "Daddy Long Legs" after seeing his elongated shadow. Under the conditions of her benefactor, Jerusha must send him a letter once a month, reporting her progress and impressions of the college and life outside the orphanage.

New Ohio State regional campus degree program responds to employer demand
October 14, 2019
The university’s Board of Trustees voted in May to approve the Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology with a concentration in manufacturing. In partnership with the College of Engineering, the degree will be offered beginning in autumn 2020 on the Lima, Mansfield and Marion campuses, and tentatively is set to begin on the Newark campus in autumn 2023.

Film History: Lost and Found
