PD at Your School

Ohio State Newark faculty can provide professional development to your district! Our professional development courses (PDC):

  • Can be flexibly scheduled to meet at your building, at arranged times, and sometimes for as few as one day per week;
  • May be approved to be delivered as a hybrid course that meets fewer times face-to-face with the remaining content delivered online;
  • May be among courses in the Ohio State catalog that are available for graduate credit (for example, special education and reading endorsement courses); or
  • Can be developed as credited special topics courses specifically designed to meet your needs.

We can also develop non-credit special topics PD to meet the unique needs in your district. This PD may meet for a shorter time commitment, but will provide information or introduction on specific topics such as dyslexia, classroom management, and implementing common core mathematics.

Credited courses will require a minimum number of enrollees.

Teachers may use district fee waivers to cover tuition for any credited courses.

Administrators and other professionals seeking more information about bringing PD to their districts should send questions and request to our Contact Us link.
