Outreach and Engagement

July 3rd Concert & Fireworks

The annual Independence Day Concert and Fireworks display is held annually on July 3, on the campus of The Ohio State University at Newark and Central Ohio Technical College. The event is free and open to all. The annual family-friendly event, jointly sponsored by COTC, Ohio State Newark and the Gilbert Reese Family Foundation, has been a long-standing free gift to the community.

LeFevre Art Gallery

The LeFevre Art Gallery serves The Ohio State University at Newark students, faculty, staff and community members. All associated exhibitions and related programs will support the university’s outreach to alumnae, prospective students, peer institutions and the general public and provide service to the broader regional and educational community.

The Black Box Theater

The academic area of theatre at Ohio State Newark has been providing theatrical entertainment to the community for over 24 years. Auditions are always open to everyone, making this a community theater. Updates for the 2020-2021 season will be posted here as information becomes available.

Pelotonia is a three-day experience founded in Columbus, Ohio in 2008, that includes a weekend of cycling, entertainment and volunteerism. Thanks to its generous funding partners, Pelotonia is able to direct 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar to cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.
