Medha Deoras-Sutliff

Medha Deoras-Sutliff takes a mission and moves the needle forward through collaborative relationship building and sound, scientific, evidence-based principles. She is an impassioned, highly trained cancer advocate who has “walked the path” of the patient translating personal credibility into support around shared goals and vision. Medha is also nationally recognized for her efforts, Kids II®Bright Starts named her one of the 2009 National Pink Power Moms, and the National Breast Cancer Coalition acknowledged her years of advocacy work with the 2017 National Grassroots Advocate Award.

She brings extensive knowledge on board governance and financial management to this role and provides forward momentum on research and education projects the Foundation’s Board of Directors seeks to implement. Previously, Medha was a senior staff member at the National Breast Cancer Coalition as Director of Scientific Affairs. She oversaw all science and education programs and supported the organization’s legislative and public policy priorities. She began her career in public health as a Disease Surveillance Epidemiologist with the Ohio Department of Health. She then joined the Licking County Health Department as coordinator of a Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Columbus, SASS for Breast Cancer screening and survivor support grant program.

Medha holds an MS in Preventive Medicine from The Ohio State University and BS in Biology from Knox College. She serves as a Board Trustee with the Public Health Partnership of Licking County and a Board Member of the non-profit Granville Tennis Club. She is also a parent representative on the Granville Schools COVID-19 Task Force. Medha and her husband Gary, a physician with Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, settled near Granville 20 years ago and have raised four children in Licking County.
