This year’s forum — which for the first time also featured projects based on creative queries and reflections on academic enrichment experiences — showcased research and scholarship conducted by 43 different students. They worked under the guidance of 23 total faculty members or advisors who represent a variety of subjects including engineering, psychology, astronomy, education, history and more.
Student research forum takes new tack
By presenting not just about research, but about their experiences studying abroad, interning or even working as a lab assistant, students got the chance to share with the community what they learned — about themselves, their careers and the world. Other students heard about opportunities and experiences also available to them. Faculty and staff got some wonderful insight into how meaningful those student experiences can be. We were all extremely impressed.
