Creative Writing Club

The Creative Writing Club creates a sense of community among those who love to write creatively, helps individual members improve their skills and creative writing abilities, and supports the interests and activities of its members.

Psychology Club

The objectives and purposes of Introspect are to promote, enhance and further develop educational and social achievements and interests in psychology; influence the conditions under which prospective members are being prepared for their professional role in society, and advance the interest and welfare of the prospective members. Activities sponsored by Introspect include community service, volunteer work, bake sales, cookouts, ice skating, bonfires, bowling, movie nights, and attending research conferences.

Radiologic Technology Student Organization

Organization to promote professionalism and involvement within professional societies/organizations.

Social Work Club 

The Social Work Club encourages students, alumni, faculty and staff to become a more connected community through volunteer opportunities, human rights activities and social events throughout the year. Through their involvement, students from both the Ohio State Newark BSSW and COTC Human Services programs can increase awareness of the social work profession and issues of social justice.

THE Engineering Technology Association (THEETA)

This organization will help future engineers by creating a networking platform for BSET engineers and grow the community of Engineering Technology students at Ohio State Newark.

Campus Activities Board

CAB Newark Campus is responsible for many student, faculty, and staff-based events. Most of our events are at little or NO cost to participants. The Board is made up of students from OSU and COTC who brainstorm, discuss, and plan activities. Anyone can attend our weekly meetings, even if they do not want to be a member, and we welcome any and all event ideas.

Cru Campus Ministry

The purpose of Cru is to help to fulfill the Great Commission in the power of the Holy Spirit by winning people to faith in Jesus Christ, building them in their faith and sending them to win and build others.

Journey Campus Ministry

Journey Campus Ministry is a unified body of students dedicated to the search for God's purpose in our lives. This often means that we can not be followers; rather, that we must set ourselves apart from what is considered to be the norm or present day trend. We welcome all who want to obey what Jesus called the greatest two commandments; to love God and one another.

Muslim Student Association

(Presently inactive) The Muslim Student organization works to Unite all students who are willing to share and learn more about each other and our culture; Get students involved with campus events; Holds events that will explore social and political concerns; and Collaborate with other organization on campus

Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology.

African Student Association

The African Student Association (ASA) welcomes everyone with a willingness to learn about the African culture. ASA has the goal of creating a positive and fun vibe on campus while promoting and maintaining African culture, raising awareness at Ohio State Newark and COTC. Their vision is to empower, teach and unite African students and every student on campus.

Otaku Club

The purpose of this organization is to bring together fellow students who share a common interest in art, animation, cosplay, and Japanese culture; to demonstrate the main street appeal and impact that Japanese art and animation has had on the influence of Western culture; to create an environment for students who embellish Japanese subculture for the purpose of fellowship and self-expression and to organize a locally based anime convention sponsored by the organization to be held annually.

Student Cultural Council

The objectives and purposes of the Student Cultural Council (SCC) are to support designated programs offered by the Office of Multi-Cultural Affairs through advertisements, demonstrations, and participation as well as support other cultural and diverse organizations.

Fencing Club

This student organization promotes fencing as a sport, fostering an appreciation for the sport and its rich history while encouraging members to explore it as a recreational and competitive activity. Student participants will gain an opportunity for physical fitness and overall well-being by engaging in regular fencing practice and training while encouraging sportsmanship, discipline and respect both on and off the fencing strip.

Circle K

In collaboration with members of the Kiwanis, students will work on further developing into responsible citizens and leaders with a lifetime commitment to service. The group provides opportunities for fellowship, personal growth, professional development and leadership skills and the practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service and to build better communities.

Help Our Planet Earth (HOPE) Club

HOPE Club enriches and enhances the university experience for students by providing the opportunity to assemble and create positive change on campus and within the Newark community, integrate the two communities, and improve the atmosphere of the campus and Newark community while offering leadership and service opportunities to the OSU-Newark/COTC campus students

Active Minds

We are dedicated to saving lives and to building stronger campus culture and communities. Through education, research, advocacy, and a focus on young adults ages. Active Minds is opening up the conversation about mental health and creating lasting change in the way mental health is talked about, cared for, and valued at The Ohio State University Newark & Central Ohio Technical College. We believe no one should have to struggle alone. By empowering young adults to speak openly about mental health, we can reduce stigma, encourage help-seeking, and prevent suicides.

American Sign Language Student Organization

ASLSO Provides a space for students to engage with one another through ASL, to promote Deaf cultural awareness, and to broaden ASL skills through campus and community engagement activities

Chess Club

Students interested in competing in chess can join for fun and encouragement in learning a game that may become a lifelong hobby.

Crochet Club

The Crochet Club provides a social outlet outside of the classroom for students to gather together and create handmade items. The organization also recognizes the group as an opportunity to boost the mental health of its members, allowing for a lifelong passion for the arts and providing a way to give back to the local community with handmade items.
