Students: Schedule a testing session

BEFORE YOU SCHEDULE ONLINE, it is your responsibility to contact your instructor and request to have your test provided to the testing center.

All students must:

  • schedule a session at least 24 hours in advance using RegisterBlast
  • schedule a session with accommodation such as reader/scribe (authorized by SL-DS) at least 72 hours in advance
  • present a valid photo ID before taking the test (on campus or remotely)
Note: If you do not have a driver's license, the state of Ohio provides state ID cards for free.
  • bring your own writing utensil and, if needed, a calculator
  • show up on time for the test; if you show up more than 15 minutes late (without contacting the center to inform us of lateness), the session will need to be rescheduled

Only final exams may be scheduled in the testing center during the days final exams are administered in classrooms.

All tests are collected 15 minutes before the Testing Center closing time each day.

If you experience any problem with RegisterBlast, contact the Testing Center by phone or email.

Faculty: Submit a test proctor form

Faculty are required to submit a test proctor form for each student for each test.

All testing is done individually. No full classes are proctored.

You may submit the form online (with the test) by completing the online proctor request form.

Or you may submit a hard copy of the form (with the test) in person at the testing center in Warner Center 206. Copies of the form are available at the center or you may download the hard copy proctor request form.

Accommodations

The extra time calculator is a tool that allows you to calculate accommodation time based on start time and extra time percent.

The Testing Center provides a testing space for students with documented accommodations, such as extended time, individual room, a reader and/or scribe.

A student must present the instructor with a signed accommodation form from the Office of Student Life – Disability Services.

The accommodation form (hard copy or digital) also must be presented to the Testing Center each time the student takes a test.

To use their accommodations, students must schedule appointments through RegisterBlast.

Single rooms and readers/scribes are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Students are encouraged to schedule early in order to ensure that these accommodations will be available.

A session with an accommodation such as reader/scribe (authorized by SL-DS) requires scheduling 72 hours in advance.
