Buckeye Preview Day at Ohio State Newark

We encourage all students interested in learning more about Ohio State Newark to join us for a Buckeye Preview Day at Ohio State Newark.

Buckeye Preview Day is the best way to get a comprehensive overview of Ohio State Newark. Your visit will include an admissions overview, faculty interviews and a chance to learn more about financial aid and scholarships, student clubs and organizations, learning communities, housing, study abroad, honors and much more. The event will conclude with guests taking a guided tour of campus with a student or an admissions professional, or you can tour campus on your own — it's up to you!

Incoming Freshman

While Buckeye Preview Day at Ohio State Newark is the best way to experience our campus, we do offer smaller visits throughout the year.  A typical visit includes time to meet with an admissions counselor and a tour of campus with a current student, based upon student availability. Please note that we are not able to provide tours of residential housing during personal visits.  

Transfer Students

Students who wish to transfer to Ohio State Newark, who have attended a different college or university after high school, are encouraged to schedule a Tour and Talk visit with our team. A typical visit includes time to meet with an admissions counselor and a tour of campus with a current student, based upon student availability. Please note that we are not able to provide tours of residential housing during personal visits.

Visit Us Virtually

Each virtual information session focuses on a different topic and may include guest speakers from offices around campus who play a role in the admissions process. These sessions are designed for students, parents, guardians and support persons.

Learning Communities: March 10, 2026, from 6:30–7:30 p.m.

Scholarships and Financial Awards: March 17, 2026, from 6:30–7:30 p.m.

Housing: April 7, 2026, from 6:30–7:30 p.m.

Student Success: April 16, 2026, from 6:30–7:30 p.m.

High school visits

High school counselors or teachers may schedule a group visit to bring their students to campus.

Accessibility accommodations

If you require an accommodation to participate fully, please contact Ohio State Newark admissions before your scheduled visit at newark-askabuckeye@osu.edu or 740-366-9344. Requests should be made as soon as possible but no later than two weeks prior to the event. Requests will be accepted beyond that date and every effort to provide a needed accommodation will be made.
