About this event

In collaboration with our generous community sponsors, the Gilbert Reese Family Foundation, Central Ohio Technical College and The Ohio State University at Newark warmly welcome you to the Independence Day Concert and Fireworks.

This event is free and open to the public. Parking is also free.​​ 

Several local vendors will be selling food and beverages. You are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnics and blankets for a fun-filled evening of music and entertainment.

5:30 p.m.: Licking County 4-H Band pre-show — John Gilbert Reese Center lawn (near Circle of Friends artwork)

About this event

The play takes place aboard the RMS Titanic on the night of April 14, 1912, only a few minutes before the ship strikes an iceberg in the cold North Atlantic Ocean. Set entirely in a first-class smoking lounge, all the characters are real people from the ship’s manifest. Some are famous and some are unknown. Some are rich, others own only the clothes on their back. All want to survive. Join us for a captivating evening as different classes of passengers are thrown together in a single room on what, for many, will be the last night of their lives.
