August 26, 2020

The Ohio State University at Newark Dean/Director William L. MacDonald, PhD, and Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) President John M. Berry, PhD, presented the Julius S. and Joette Greenstein Award to Suzanne Bressoud, director of marketing and public relations for both Ohio State Newark and COTC.

“I’m so honored to receive this award,” said Bressoud. She assumed the role of director in 2017, returning to the Office of Marketing and Public Relations after having previously served in various roles in the department from 2007-2012. “Both COTC and Ohio State Newark play extremely important roles in our community, and it’s my privilege to work with the incredibly talented, supportive and caring faculty and staff at each institution.”

As director, Bressoud is responsible for the development and implementation of the marketing strategy and tactics for each institution. She oversees communication from all facets of the college and university to support the goals of enrollment, advancement and many other college/university departments and employees. Her work touches every college/university constituent from students and parents to faculty and staff to alumni and community members.

Bressoud was recognized as an enthusiastic and loyal champion for both Ohio State Newark and COTC. “It’s obvious she genuinely embraces and is committed to both the students and missions of both institutions,” read the nomination letter. “Suzanne is an exemplary model of respect, cooperation and collaboration.”

This prestigious award is given annually to a staff member, administrator or faculty member of COTC and/or Ohio State Newark whose efforts, attitude, deeds and behavior made a major contribution toward the perpetuation of a genuine spirit of mutual respect and cooperation between COTC and Ohio State Newark. The award is named for long-time campus chief administrator Julius S. Greenstein, PhD, and his wife, Joette.
