Ohio State Newark Receives National Higher Ed Marketing Awards
April 15, 2015 – Newark, OH – The Ohio State University at Newark Marketing and Public Relations (MPR) office received a Gold Award in the Poster category for the Ohio State Newark 2014-15 Poster, a publication used for enrollment marketing. Winners were recently announced in the Thirtieth Annual Educational Advertising Awards, sponsored by Higher Education Marketing Report.
Additionally, the campus received a Silver Award for the Annual Progress Report and a Merit Award for Profiles, an external newsletter. The Progress Report highlights the innovative and engaging activities and projects of Ohio State Newark over the past year. The external newsletter, Profiles, is an information tool published twice annually and distributed through community newspapers. “These awards demonstrate the department’s deep commitment to quality standards and knowledge of current marketing trends,” said Andy Ellinger, M.S., assistant director of marketing and public relations.
The Educational Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country. This year, close to 2,000 entries were received from more than one-thousand colleges, universities and secondary schools from all fifty states and several foreign countries.It was thirty years ago that this national competition began its efforts to recognize the field of educational marketing and advertising. Today, the industry has matured into a sophisticated and competitive field, meeting the needs of knowledgeable prospects that are making their own educational decisions. A national panel of industry specialists reviewed each piece; judging creativity, marketing execution and message impact.
