Learn about the process for selecting Ohio State majors and careers based on exploration of your interests, skills, values, and life experience.

11 a.m.—1 p.m.: Major Exploration Fair (in person)

Join us and learn about the majors, minors and certificates that Ohio State has to offer on both the Newark and Columbus campuses.

Both events are held in the Melissa Warner Bow Grand Hall (ballroom). Registration is encouraged.

About this event

Harold Foxx is a writer, producer, director, comedian and actor who happens to be deaf. He is best known for his stand-up comedy and has performed at iconic venues such the Laugh Factory and Flappers Comedy Club, Busboys & Poets, National Black Deaf Advocates Conference, Theatre of Note (Hollywood), Palm Springs International Virtual Comedy Festival 2020 and the National Association of the Deaf.

This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required due to limited seating. All are welcome, and you do not need to know American Sign Language to enjoy this show.

What is it?

  • A two-day program for first-year students (focus Black/African-American)
  • A program to provide support to help students reach collegiate goals

Why should I come?

  • Meet other first-year students, full of questions and curiosity (just like you) about Ohio State Newark and campus community.
  • Meet returning freshIMAGE Alumni, who will talk about their experiences, concerns, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Participate in an engaging, informative, and energetic event that is complete with games, prize drawings, breakout sessions and candid talks.
